A "How To" Guide to surviving college
at its best and worst
Intro
How do you know you're seeing a freshman? They normally look lost and have dark circle under eyes.
"Up all night - on Tuesday"(c)
not really partying
Pull of my first 36-er - meaning I'm up all day during classes, then have an all-nighter writing papers and reading course materials; and back to the classes I go! Sometimes an 36-er is interrupted by a luxurious 3-hour sleep.
I'm fully ready and prepared for that test!
NOT!
A full semester of learning and a full-nighter preparing don't guarantee a nice little "B+" on a test. Why? Magic!
Now write it down!
"Write a five page essay on your view on the current day international issues". Excellent, I know a few international issues and I have an opinion. How hard can that be?
(three hours later)
How do you make 'They suck, off with their heads!' more formal?
Any ideas how to turn two paragraphs into five pages?
So what do I do now?
We always strive for the best. With the least amount of effort.
Practice makes perfect
- After five or six all-nighters, you'll surely learn to do your stuff in the minimum time.
- It gets a bit easier by the Junior year.
- By your Senior year, you'll be able to write a ten-page essay in one night, with your eyes closed and your mind floating elsewhere.
